Come & See

Want to know more about Christchurch?
Come to our next Come & See Reception. Meet our clergy, vestry and staff one-on-one; ask questions; look around. Members, if you bring a friend to church or if you meet someone at church, please make sure we get to meet them too!

The Come and See ministry is dedicated to welcoming guests to worship by greeting them warmly when they arrive, and following up with a loaf of fresh bread delivered to first time visitors early in the next week.  Also, on the first Sunday of each month, the Come and See committee hosts an informal reception following the Sunday morning worship service. During this time, guests and new members are encouraged to ask for information concerning any or all  phases of Christchurch life.

Since the focus of Come and See is to ensure that guests realize how much they are welcomed and appreciated, members of the congregation are urged to introduce themselves to anyone they don't know and in turn introduce them to the greeter.  Members who bring guests are asked to make sure the greeter has met their visitors as well.  We want to do our best to see that no one leaves a Christchurch service feeling unnoticed.
Christchurch wants through this ministry for others to see and hopefully participate in the many and exciting ways that Jesus Christ is working in and through His people.

Follow Me

The Follow Me Ministry seeks to incorporate regular visitors and new members into the life of the parish and to make sure they feel welcome. As the Scriptures say, “Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually” (1 Cor. 12:27). Therefore, each person in Christchurch has a ministry and is critical to the building up of the Kingdom of God. The Follow Me Ministry helps guide our newer parishioners to ministry involvement, fellowship opportunities, Covenant Group participation, and formal church membership.
