Thursday Morning Women's Enrichment

12 January - 23 February - 10:00am-11:30am
Join other women for this study based upon the The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer. In this class, we will learn how wearing the armour of God (Ephesians 6.10-18) can help us live victoriously against an enemy who seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to us.

Monday Night Bible Study

Beginning February - 13 March - 6:00pm-8:00pm - Youth Cafe
In the Gospel According to John, Jesus invites everyone to follow him and to find rest in him. In this class, we will rediscover the freedom of living in Jesus’ name, and the joy of inviting others to discover the only One who can satisfy our thirst with Living Water.

The Secret Ingredient

An artistic outreach designed to develop women's spiritual and creative gifts!

Too often women are so busy helping and serving others that we neglect developing our creative sides. We admire others' handiwork, we might even wish we had time to be artistic, but life's demands keep us on task and we settle for trying to be creative with dinner. Sound familiar?? Well, your time has arrived!

The Secret Ingredient is more than just a churchy art project - it's a vibrant gathering of women, working on a fabulous art project while simultaneously contributing to a transforming outreach in Uganda! We are giving you a purpose to get creative and we are having a blast!

We gather one or two Wednesday nights a month and work on a project together. They are carefully selected projects that even the most unartistic can master. There is a cost per project which varies depending on the cost of supplies. All proceeds over the cost of the project go to our mission in Uganda. In addition, there is a devotion given that relates to our project as well as our mission. Does that sound too good to be true?
Join us and discover just how creative mission work can be!

What is our mission? We hope to transform the lives of children that live in a remote village in Africa called Ngenge. Our first goal is to provide a warm meal for these children while they are at school.

Presently, these children average only one simple meal a day, and their lives are poverty stricken, but with God's help, we can make a difference!

Ladies of Virtue and Vocation

Each morning and afternoon (Monday-Thursday), a cheerful volunteer arrives at Christchurch - ready to be of service. Officially known as the "office volunteer", you might find her answering the phone, assembling bulletins, helping Margaret organize music, or preparing materials for Children's Ministry activities. Sometimes the day is calm, and you might find her needlepointing or working on her Bible Study. Other times, she becomes involved in side projects as the staff utilizes her particular talents.

If this sounds like an area where you would thrive and be useful, for more information contact Ginger Richardson at 387-0566 ext 201.

Daughters of the Holy Cross

About the Daughters of the Holy Cross
The Order of the Daughters of the Holy Cross was established to provide Anglican women with a way to support and encourage each other. Members take a lifelong vow to follow the Lord and further His kingdom by focusing on the four pillars of prayer, service, study and evangelism. The Daughters of the Holy Cross was instituted as an Order on September 12, 2009, at Holy Cross Anglican Church in Loganville, Georgia. The ChristchurchXP Order received its charter on December 4, 2009, as the thirty-first chapter of the new Order. The Order meets once a month for study and prayer. New member training is provided for new members. Please contact one of the clergy for more information and to join.

Faith Statement of the Order
We believe and confess Jesus Christ to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Him. Therefore, The Order of the Daughters of the Holy Cross identifies the following four elements as essential for membership:

  1. We confess the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired Word of God, containing all things necessary for salvation, and to be the final authority and unchangeable standard for Christian faith.
  2. We confess Baptism and the Holy Eucharist to be Sacraments ordained by Christ Himself in the Gospel, and thus to be ministered with unfailing use of His words of institution and of the elements ordained by Him.
  3. We confess as proved by most certain warrants of Holy Scripture the historic faith of the undivided Church as declared in the three Catholic Creeds: the Apostles', the Nicene, and the Athanasian.
  4. We confess that the Holy Orders of Bishops, Priests, and Deacons have been entrusted with safe-guarding the Church and the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.

Prayer of the Order
O gracious and Holy Father, that Thy Son may be glorified give Thy Daughters wisdom to perceive Thee, intelligence to understand Thee, diligence to seek Thee, patience to wait for Thee, eyes to behold Thee, a heart to meditate upon Thee, and a life to proclaim Thee, by the power of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
