Angel Food

Christchurch's Angel Food Ministry provides frozen meals for our members who are sick or have recently had surgery. The delicious meals are prepared by church members and put in the Angel Food Freezer in the church kitchen.  We currently need frozen casseroles, soups, or any meal that freezes well that will feed four or six people.  If you want to help but don't have time to cook, you can send us a check and we will purchase what we need!  If you can help, please email Eloise Wilkerson ewilkerson58@gmail.com or Beverly Stabler beverystabler@charter.net.

Good Grief

Members of the Good Grief Ministry assist parish families at the time of a family funeral. They organize meals, coordinate food and flower deliveries, answer the family phone, occasionally write an obituary notice and perform other duties as needed.

Healing Prayer Team

The Christchurch Healing Prayer Team prays on a daily basis for people suffering from illness or other needs. Team members also are available for prayer in the transept alcoves during the administration of Holy Communion on Sunday mornings. Prayer requesters have the comfort of knowing that a dedicated group of intercessors are praying for them. Contents of prayer submissions are kept in strict confidence. Contact: The Rev. Damon L. Gibbs

Lay Eucharistic Ministries

Chalice Bearer: commissioned laity assist our ordained clergy in administering Holy Communion during worship.

Lay Reader: trained to administer the Eucharist to shut-ins or those otherwise physically unable to attend church.

This ministry helps foster the growth of Christchurch by enabling us to minister personally to greater numbers of people than we could do otherwise – drawing the “body of Christ” the members of the church, closer together in this sharing of His Body and Blood.
